Glorious Geekdom Pottery

Each piece of our pottery is made 100% by hand, by us! 
Mugs, bowls, teapots and more, are made on the potters wheel

here in our Shenandoah Valley Virginia studio from a lump of

raw clay!

Our pieces are then stamped, carved, lettered, trimmed,

handled and/or altered before being kiln fired to just a bit

under 1900°F.

HOT HOT HOT!!
The next step is the glazing process~

We hand mix our own glazes here in the studio, and use them

along with a handful of super fun colorful underglazes,

(pigmented clay) to create the designs you see on all of our

fandom goodies :)

 

Each pot then goes back into the kiln for a 2nd firing (over 2200°F) which sets the glaze and matures the clay, making it sturdy and functional!

While a tiny handful of our highly customized pieces might be just for show, about 99% of our work is intended for every day use.

•All of our mugs are MICROWAVE & DISHWASHER friendly!

•All of our glazes are 100% lead free and appropriate finishes for food, drink, cooking and storage.
